Just Watch That Street Cred Plummet

Since Alphonse decided to show us her domicile online, here's a distant shot of chez Counago, marked with an x, at the mouth of the River Boyne. Yes, that's a golf course you can see next door, and the beach is where they hold the Laytown Races every September and where they found the Tara brooch. And there's the tennis club where I'm men's over 40s doubles champion.

Street cred? What street cred?

Street cred? You are barely on a street! Wow that is one awesome location. Sadly, we are within a short walk of the M1 which hardly qualifies as a site of outstanding natural (or even golf course) beauty.

Still, its a darn fine sunny day here so I can't entirely complain.

Actually, Lisa, you're quite right. I could never have had street cred to begin with, only cul-de-sac cred, and even then it's a cul-de-sac inhabited by pensioners who have more cred than I ever had.

Never knock the cul-de-sac (even when it's a film by Roman P). We found it quite a leap up in the world to move to a house behind a green when I was 8, but now we realise it was just a way to stop the working classes getting ideas above their station or expecting to live to long (neither delivery vans nor fire engines can get access when you live behind one of those beasties...)
