Will Smith is to star in the film version of Richard Matheson's book I Am Legend, a novel that scared the shit out of me as a 12-year-old (I was a sensitive boy) and gave me nightmares again for very different reasons when it was made into The Omega Man, starring Charlton Heston.
The only books I read that year were I Am Legend and James Herbert's The Rats.

ah the omega man, one of the Charlton Heston 'i've already saved the past no I'm goign to save the future' trilogy along with planet of the apes and coylent green. Any time period that allows random killing, guns and hot women who don't say much and are inexticably attracted to 'The Hest'.
Ps. saw on Frank Sidebottom's myspace bulletin board (a phrase, i never thought I'd type at 31) that he's on Rodge and Podge on March 6th, I hope someone youtubes it!
