Throbbing Gristle
"Part Two: Endless Not" (Mute, 2007)
Greatest exponents of the industrial machinery that at the end of the sixties lubricated rock with insane doses of aggressiveness, experimentation and post modern nightmares, Throbbin Gristle come back to life to regain their condition of conventionalism lashers and to continue shaping this sonic terrorism they engraved with fire in their unpredictable live shows. The British band dismembered in 1981, got back together in 2004 to offer in London their first concert in more than two decades. The come back, endorsed by their concert in All Tomorrow’s Parties 2005, was materialized last year in "Part Two: Endless Not", first album of the band in 25 years and the excuse for bringing Genesis P. Orridge and company back to the stages. One must remember the performance of the androgynous and amoral Orridge leading Psychic TV in Estrella Damm Primavera Sound 2005 to get an idea of what will probably happen in Throbbing Gristle’s come back.
