Well John, this had best be as good as the excerpt as I've just ordered it from Messrs Amazon and Sons. You can now get Walkers crisps when you buy yer books from them. Not bad eh? There was a time [cue Gene Chandler] when Walkers' chicken flavour were veggie and vegan friendly, but their cheese n'onion were not even veggie friendly. A long story......
Its slightly reassuring to note that as yet they only sell NEW crisps and not second hand. But I'm sure it'll come. Give it time. Also you have to buy enough to last you the rest of the year. But they do do some rather tasty looking artisan crisps. Artisan crisps? That Nigella Lawson has a lot to answer for.
Got mine, too John. The excerpt gives a slightly atypical section, but I'd factored that in. I may have further comments. The section on Tel Quel strikes me as being written with a rather wry sense of the absurd. As for the crisps - mmmm, tasty.
Didn't learn a whole lot that I didn't really know before, and it isn't close to being as good as Richard Gombin's Origins of Modern Leftism (Gombin was a member of ICO, which gave him an advantage). But all told, not a bad read, and I'm quite happy I bought it. I suspect that it needs to be seen as part of an unfolding project on Wolin's part, and I'll need to go back to one of his others to reassess. The crisps were excellent, although I need to find out if they do salt n shake, as I prefer crisps with no salt.

Mike, if it's shite, blame the reviewer, not me. ;-)
Report back when finished please. Also on crisps.
Feck it, my copy just arrived this morning. I must have ordered it while I was pissed.

I love salt and shake, but only because I eat the salt separately.
I'll check out the Gombin book too. Cheers for the heads up.
