The wonderful Temple Grandin is in the media, again, featured in yesterday's Guardian and today's Normblog as well as being interviewed over here in Ireland this morning on TV3, wearing a fabulous black cowgirl shirt with a bright red rose pattern. She's over here promoting Animals in Translation, which we here at C&S called attention to last July when it first appeared in the States.
Professor Grandin makes regular appearances on this blog, as you'll know if you ever read it, thanks to the pertinence of her observations to deciphering the behaviour of psychopaths, although it should be pointed out that she suffers from only a mild autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and as she pointed out in interview this morning, autism can range from those unable to communicate verbally at all, all the way to Albert Einstein.
Anyway, her book is a must-read, along with Thinking in Pictures, her previous book, for anyone interested in the processes of human and animal cognition.
