Without wanting to compromise my sexuality in any way, I did notice the extraordinary length of his tongue as he licked his lips last night during the anthem.

I cannot believe that anyone who knows anything about football would think that Lehmann shouldn't have been sent off. The only mistake was that the ref didn't wave play on, let the Barca goal stand and then send the tosser off!
Sorry Griff, hope you don't take that as a personal attack cos I also cannot believe that anyone who knows anything about football would support Millwall, but I do!!
well indeed, the ref was a law unto himself. I don't think he particularly helped anyone.
You too can sort out any disagreements you have at the Mekons in August. I'm sure it'll end in beers.
Surely it should have been 9 aagainst 12 after the dive that won Arse the free kick that Campbell scored from.Wenger and Henry kept schtum about that after didn't they?

And I do to, of course... Barça fans have also complained about the referee. I think Giuly's goal should've stood and Lehman allowed to stay in the game, that would've been much better for us (and made the game more entertaining), with 1-0 up and 11 against 11, Arsenal would've gone forward and let more space for Ronaldinho and Deco in midfield to catch Arsenal on the break. And Campbell's goal was the result of a non-existant free kick.
Credit to Arsenal as well, hard to beat and Henry, what a player, Puyol and Márquez couldn't cope with him. Sorry Griff, but I hope he moves to Barça!
Well guys, going for a siesta now, I was back from Paris yesterday and I'm drained...
nah, i can't complain about the sending off if the letter of the law is followed (except that it sometimes isn't, of course) but it was a shame because it kind of ruined the game. i thought the ref was atrocious, though (eboue's dive not being punished was eclipsed only by henry being booked for being assassinated by a barca player). what i couldn't stand was the barca players waving imaginary cards to try to get the ref to book players. cunts.
still, well done to barca, they kept their nerve pretty well and there's plenty of teams i'd less happy to see win it.
oh and henry's staying now, it seems, of course.
i actually support everton, jordi, but i think every football fan in england (who doesn't support liverpool, man utd or chelsea) is glad he's staying.
it should be an interesting battle at the top of the premiership next year.

I didn't like the Barca players reaction either, i thought FIFA sia they were going to clamp down on this a couple of years back. Still, it does tell you whether they wanted the goal or the sending off.
And I agree about Henry.By far and away the best player to watch in the world at the moment. Couldn't really see him and Ron gelling at Barca.
Anyway, who agrees that the game turned with Henrik Larsson coming off the bench. Up to that point, the Arsenal defence didn't really look like being breached, but I think the ex-Celtic boy (oh, wonder why I'm mentioning that?) made the difference - and made the goals!
And, of course, the ref was pish, but he was pish for both teams!

I agree, the referee was bad for both sides, Arsenal could claim rightly some yellow cards should've been shown to Barça players. That's true, but, come on, Barça had a legal goal disallowed and then Arsenal scored from a non-existant free kick. Refereeing decisions meant that from being 1-0 up we ended up being 1-0 down, that's two goal decisions that went against Barça, so how could anybody claim the referee helped Barça is surreal. Specially coming from Wenger, whom I've always regarded as a gentleman, gracious in defeat. I agree with Niall when he says in his column that his constant moaning may obscure his achievements at Arsenal.
And hats off to Henry, I would've loved to see him at Barça, but is nice to see him being loyal to his club and placing his heart before the money, other players should learn from his example (Figo, are you there...?).
And yes, well done Larsson, the crowd's hero, and well done Victor Valdés, the Barça keeper who saved us. And he's from l'Hospitalet, my local town!
