Peter Osgood dies of heart attack at age 59.
That diving header is one of the first great goals I remember. I practiced it in our back garden on many occasions, sometimes without a ball (also known as "The Franny Lee.")

i remember the best cross i ever put in in my life. it was an in swinging peach of a ball from out on the right, just inside their half. you met it, osgood-like, ten yards out and the goalie had no chance. don't think i'll ever forget it. it was beautiful.
