The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name

Norm describes coming back from Saturday's match at Old Trafford and meeting a couple of fellow United supporters who'd specially flown over for the match from Dublin. "That," says Norm, "is love."

Pfffftt! How undemanding could you be? I've never found love to be so easy. Even disregarding cheap price of flights from Dublin and the tragedy that is the FAI (except for the mighty Bohs), loving United costs nothing.

Whereas, had they been wearing Altrincham scarves and they'd flown over from Dublin, THAT would have been love. And before you ask who on earth would either do that or admit to it, I'll concede that only a complete fool would. But isn't that what love does to you? And isn't that why it's so great?

Oh yes. That's about halfway to a quarter to what a true fool would do. Don't I know.

(oh, half pleased about the elections. I mean, anything would be better than that clown. But that other lot would only be good to keep the country's head above water. It takes more than what's on offer.
Still, going to see family for a couple of days soon, can't wait to see what it'd be like)

Paying good money to go and see your team (who threw away a perfectly good 2-0 lead on Saturday and do not deserve the support) play in Darlington this weekend. Is that love or just gross stupidity?

Mmm. Trips to Darlington for any reason are difficult to justify as far as I can see. Not so much stupidity as insanity.

How fleeting 2 goal leads can be. 90th min (unnecessary) penalties don't make things easier.I will nevertheless celebrate our 2-4 win at Dagenham last night by getting drunk every night until the Conference decide to dock us the 18 points that they are cureently debating on.
