Yeah. The only bloke they ever decked.
The Guardian names it's ten most annoying people of 2007, and not a single mention of Jeremy Clarkson even in the Comments.
Who are YOUR most annoying arseholes of the year (present company excepted)?

Obviously Jamie Cullum, but also Joey Barton for many reasons. And Ruth Kelly.
John Terry,Granada Reports presenters,Mark Kermode,Ian Hislop, all Premiership managers bar one,Tony Blair, Cristianus Ronaldo. Radio DJ's on the telly.
It's been a really good year for arseholes, hasn't it? I second Joey Barton and John Terry (and Frank Lampard EVERY year). Also, every single presenter on Irish television, especially TV3's excruciating Mark Cagney. Also the FAI, who cannot bring themselves to do the decent thing and admit they're going to fuck Ireland fans all over again with their next appointment. Sam Allardyce, big time, for his unreconstructed machismo. Everyone associated with "Have I Got News for You."
I'm sure I'll be able to think of some more as the day goes on.
Such a shame it wasn't Clarkson in that crash. Although everyone else on that Top Gear programme could benefit from a drive over a cliff. Most annoying thing I saw all year: some awful, pretentious drama by Stephen Poliakoff.
Oh, and John, if you think HIGNFY is bad, just check out "Mock the Week"! I laughed once, and felt dirty all week.
Hi Stuart--
I don't mind Mock the Week as much, even though I still cringe at how amateurishly written and performed it is. Dara O'Briain is close to his sell-by date but not quite there yet, I think, whereas HIGNFY is insufferable in its smugness. Paul Merton is easily the most overrated comic of his generation (debate!).
Oh, and Steven Berkoff. You reminded me (via Poliakoff). I don't think he's been particularly arseish this year. Just in general he gets on my tits.
I can't get past my loathing of John Terry.
And Barbara Walters.
Don't even try to get past it, Darren. Wallow in it.
Elaborate on the Barbara Walters choice, please. Does she live in your neighbourhood or something?
I can't John. It's too painful.
More:
Mark Steel
Brian Haw
Billy Connolly
Everyone on "The Blame Game"
I almost forgot:
The fucking pope.
How silly of me.
Bono, every fucking year - hate the cunt!
John Terry, fefinitely.
All Guardian journalists.
All Observer journalists.
I'd also go along with Brian Haw - has had no relationship with his kids since doing that stupid protest.
Mark Wallinger for copying Brian Haw's stupid protest.
Anyone who thinks the government's 42-day detention orders are necessary.
Another vote for John Terry.
Anyone who argues David Beckham should still be in the England team.
The fucking Spice Girls - surely only put on this earth to irritate me to death.
Would normally agree about Bono but for reasons shortly to be disclosed, he may be my best mate (after Mark Steel) come New Year's Day (depending on how quiet it is that morning).
David Cameron.
Can I have another vote for the Spice Girls?
How dare you criticise Paul Merton? And Mark Steel? And how dare the Guardian include the lovely Nigella Lawson on their list! I'm going to make myself some lovely Nigella treats to help me get over the shock.
A pair of self-satisfied smug fuckers who think they're so fucking clever.
Can't say I've ever watched Nigella. Or any other cookery program, for that matter.
TV chefs. Obvious but it needs to be said.
Not that I've seen any.
