Not Books

Treated myself today to the new Sons & Daughters album, Repulsion Box, only out this morning in Ireland, having seen and enjoyed them in Barcelona; and, to my embarrassment to this. Embarrassment because I never had it before and I'd forgotten just how fucking good they were.

Awh, I just LURVE Bizarro. I practically wore out my tape from when it first came out. "What Have I Said Now?" remains one of the most awesome records of an argument ever put to music.

Shit, you just reminded me that I don't have Bizarro. I had a quick search of my vinyl and CD collection, thinking that it was in there along with Seamonsters, Tommy and George Best, but, fuck, no!!!!

I've got it in Vinyl. I saw them on the tour promoting it. Bloody brilliant but very very short set though.

The Sons & Daughters album is very unusual. Bit Berlin cabaret, bit Goth, lots of psychobilly. Nothing like the gig as I remember it but still enjoyable in a slightly odd way.

Sold to the man in the black T-Shirt. I heard Broken Bones on a compilation and loved it and heard some more via their website. I must go and actually buy it, rather than liberate it from the internet.
